Bluetooth Headsets | Cell Phones And Bluetooth
Cell phones are an amazing invention. They allow us to communicate with people at just about any point during the day. It’s easier to get in touch with people using cell phones because you can talk anywhere. With more and more people using cell phones, more and more bans are being made for their use. Driving while talking on a cell phone is one of the main cell phone bans that people are familiar with. Although most people feel they are in complete control of their car and paying attention while talking, many states have placed bans on talking on a hand held phone while driving.
California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Washington, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands prohibit all drivers from talking on hand held phones when driving. While there are no states that prohibit all phone use (hand held and hands free) for all drivers, there are bans on certain segments of the population. Novice drivers (anyone, regardless of age, having a licenses for less than 12 months) and bus drivers have more bans than most drivers in many states. Although the laws are different per state, it’s pretty clear that talking on a cell phone while driving is not a good idea. The Solution: Bluetooth.
Bluetooth headsets allow people to continue using their cell phones while driving, but in a way that is deemed safe. For people who spend a lot of time on the road, talking to other people helps pass the time. Instead of learning which state has a ban and which state doesn’t it is easier to just use a Bluetooth headset. Especially taking into consideration that some states have local laws differing per county, and most cell phone bans are considered primary offenses (able to be ticketed with no other violation). The money spent on a Bluetooth kit and Bluetooth accessories is nothing compared to racking up fines to have a conversation.
OTR truckers who like to keep in touch with the family they rarely see should really consider a Bluetooth headset for on the road. Driving can become pretty boring when all you see is miles and miles of highway. Although OTR truckers take a job knowing majority of their time will be spent driving, it doesn’t mean they like staring at highway with nothing else to do. Being able to have a casual conversation may seem priceless after three or four days on the road. When you are driving to make money, spending it on fines related to driving seems to defeat the purpose. A Bluetooth headset allows you to talk to anyone who will answer their phone without worrying about getting a ticket for the conversation.
For people that spend a lot of time in their car, never seem to escape business calls, or just love to chit chat, a car Bluetooth kit is the way to go. Now you can handle all the unfinished business on your way home from work, or call your best friend about the really big sale you just left at the mall, all without taking your hands off the wheel. It’s a win-win situation. You get to talk on the phone, and there are no worries about getting a ticket.
With Bluetooth technology available, there is almost no excuse to drive and hold a phone. Fines are expensive and can really add up. Bluetooth headsets are inexpensive, easy to use, and eliminate the worry about cell phone fines. OTR truckers and avid travelers should really utilize this technology. Cell phones have basically eliminated pay phones, but if you get a fine for making a phone call it’s almost as if you are using a pay phone. Save money and aggravation by using a Bluetooth headset.
